SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS ROUNDTABLE

It can be lonely at the top. Do you ever wish you had people with common interests and goals to discuss issues with, or bounce ideas off of? Here is your opportunity. This interactive seminar offers a forum to share ideas with other business owners and managers in a moderated setting. Whether you own/run a retail store, a manufacturing company, a medical practice, or a service business, there are many common issues. We will explore how to handle general, or specific, challenges you may face in your business. The topics covered will depend on the needs of the participants, and may include such areas as developing/enhancing your niche to differentiate your business from the competition, creative/affordable marketing, adapting to business in a down economy, motivating personnel, handling growth, and developing “outside the box” business strategies. Feel free to e-mail the instructor in advance (sdlarik@hotmail.com) if there are certain issues you would like to cover, and be prepared to offer advice and feedback to fellow participants. We will request that all matters discussed in the seminar remain confidential. Susan Larik has an extensive business background which includes experience in public accounting, retailing, business consulting, and executive recruiting.

THE WINES OF SPAIN

We finish our series with what has become our most popular "wine country class." Many Americans learned about French and Italian wines long before they knew about Spain, but that Iberian country is doing a lot to make up for lost time! This class will show us the flavorful Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Monastrell grapes (among others) and visits to Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and other more recently-discovered regions. A few tasty tapas will be included in the evening. Salud! Class members must be twenty-one or older.
